SMART-TRIAL today announces the general availability of SMART-TRIAL 2019.3. Read more about the new features below and register for the Release Webinar to learn how to use them in your study.

What's New?

This version brings powerful improvements to queries, verification of data, export, and date & time format.

Additionally, there are several minor changes to name a few putting a study into test mode now requires only Yes/No. You can now select which status icons to have displayed on the data events in site overview.

New Verification Type - Verification II

This verification type functions just like the previous. It uses a different color for differentiation. And, each type of verification has its own permission. This enables you to have two types of verification, for instance, if you want to have both monitors and data managers review the data, now each can have their own tool.

Verification II

Process export

With the new process export option, it is convenient to export all sites following the same process in one file. However, based on your needs you can still export on a site level.

Process Level Export- Includes all sites with said process

Study-level date and time format

It is now possible to specify the date format on a study level, which will determine how dates are displayed in the study. There is a list to choose from: EU, ISO and US formats with different lengths, and different delimiters.

'File as answer' question type

It supports upload of any file type up to 10 Mb and can be downloaded by users with the export permission. The upload name can be seen by anyone with 'View Data' permission. This question type will NOT attempt to render the file in the browser e.g. images will not be displayed.

The query list has received an overhaul

Several new columns are added such as Data event, Site, Subject ID, Form name, and last update time and more extensive filtering has been added to the query list.

New Columns in Query Overview

Clicking a query in the query list now takes you straight to the answer with a query instead of the top of the form. The Subject ID can be clicked in the query list, to take you directly to the subject's profile.

'Close query' is a new feature that allows open and responded queries to be closed without a response. It does still require a comment when closing the query. Query icon now is shown on data events in the site overview, if the data events contain an open or responded query.

New Close Query Option

'Answer Not Available' now has its own export code

Answer not available has a new export code and is denoted as ".n" making it more specific and identifiable that the answer has been actively marked as unavailable.

For a detailed list of all changes please review the official changelog.
