SMART-TRIAL 2021.4 is the fourth and final release of this series of smaller product releases we have rolled out in the first half of 2021. SMART-TRIAL 2021.4 brings one major improvement and a few bug fixes.
As this is the final of our four spring releases, we will have published a release webinar to go through all of the newly implemented features and upgrades! Watch the webinar for free via this link:
We have implemented a new umbrella term named 'Process Rules'. This will replace 'Reference Rules' and cover both Process Validation Rules and Process Show Rules.
Process Show Rules is a newly implemented and highly requested feature that will allow you to show/hide multiple questions or even entire forms in different forms or data events. With the implementation of Process Show Rules, we also introduce two new terms:
Affected: Questions/forms that will only be shown when specific 'Criteria' is met.
Criteria: Customizable variable that determines when 'Affected' questions/forms are shown.
An example of how to use this function can be seen in the below animation. In the example, the Criteria determines that if a subject answers 'Yes' to the question 'Is the subject of childbearing potential?', the Affected question 'Does subject have a negative pregnancy test?' is included in the form for all future visits.
Learn more about how to use the new Process Show Rules in the SMART-TRIAL Help Center.
Please note that there will be no changes to validation rules except the name change from Reference Validation Rules to Process Validation Rules. The name change is to reflect the primary use of the rules, which is in processes.
See all additions and changes in the SMART-TRIAL Change log.
