SMART-TRIAL has released version 2022.2, which includes the brand new Add-On, Connected Devices, as well as a number of smaller fixes and changes.

The launch of SMART-TRIAL's new Add-On, Connected Devices, was the primary focus of the release webinar that took place on Wednesday, March 23rd, 15.00 CET. The webinar covered key aspects of connected devices in general, continuous data, as well as how to integrate connected device data into clinical studies.

The recording of the webinar is available below.

SMART-TRIAL Connected Devices Add-On

As the world is increasingly becoming more ''connected'', and technological improvements are booming, the medical device industry is on the brink of a new era:

The Era of Connected Devices. You might have heard of IoMT (Internet of Medical Things), or as they're called in the US - DHT (Digital Health Technologies).

These devices bring remarkable benefits both for manufacturers, clinicians, and patients. Unfortunately, current available solutions require extensive setup and development, which renders them unfeasible for the majority of device manufacturers.

With the vision of empowering the medical device market and enable all manufacturers of connected devices to acquire device data directly into their clinical study, SMART-TRIAL has come up with an easier, less resource-draining, fast-to-market solution in its new Add-On: Connected Devices.

Connected Devices allows data from wearables and other medical devices to continuously send data to SMART-TRIAL via new API resources. This eliminates the costly and timely setup, and allows manufacturers to gather continuous, structured and GCP compliant data from external sources into SMART-TRIAL.

What are the Key Benefits of this Add-On?

Via the Connected Devices Add-On, SMART-TRIAL helps unify clinical operations and workflow management, while improving patient outcomes.

     Key benefits include:

        • All your data in one place

          • GCP and FDA compliant storage environment

          • Minimal setup and development required

          • Continuous, and structured data acquisition

          • No data migration needed

          • Reduced risk of human error

          • Link device data directly to subject ID

          • Real-time data adherence + monitoring

Connected Devices Add-On allows connected medical devices to send continuous data into SMART-TRIAL.
